TRACTOR PULL CANCELED

HI THERE TRACTOR FANS. IM TYPEING THIS WITH A SAD THING ON MY MIND. WE HAD TO CANCEL OUR ANNUAL TRACTOR PULLS FROM NOW ON CAUSE WE CANT AFFORD TO PAY WHAT OUR CITY WANTS FOR INSURANCE PER PULL. WE DONT CHARGE PEOPLE TO WATCH THE PULL THE ONLY THING WE CHARGED WAS A HOOK FEE TO PAY SLED. WE HAD THE PULL 3 YEARS AND NOW THIS. WE HAD NO ACCIDENTS OR INCEDENTS. WELL ANY HOW IF ANY OF YOU READ THAT CLARENCE MISSOURI WAS HAVEING A PULL OR EVER ATTENDED OUR PULL WE ARE NO LONGER DOING IT TILL WE CAN COME UP WITH ANOUTHER PLACE OR INSURANCE STUFF. WE CANT AFFORD THE INSURANCE SO ITS CALLED QUITES.

try an independant insurance broker for an "event policy" they are inexpensive, and for a one day event you could even pass the hat for the insurance. we did a volunteer hayrack ride for a local school october fest. the event insurance was $50.00.

We had a problem like that with a show in a city park. When the truth came out, it was one 'B' in the office who did'nt like farmers. There was no additional insurance needed. In fact, they had the same insurance co. that covered the fair grounds where the steamer exploded a few years ago. I would call their insurance co. and talk directly to them. Sometimes you can be knee deep in political B S and not know it.

Do you have good attendance? You could consider getting sponsorship from some local businesses. Also does the city have an 'events' committee? A lot of cities have a team of people trying to get attractions into their area. If you could convince them that the pull was an attraction they may be able to help.
