Tractor Rim Question

I don't think reinforcement is an issue. I was more concerned with the angle of the stem.
I wonder if that's just a thing on smaller rims? I was sitting at the show today looking at an Allis B and those were in on an angle like that. The ones on the 38s that I just had to work on were in an inch or so from the bead.
 
These are the ones I put together 20 years ago. The tractor is still setting on jack stands : ( oh well.

I generously powder the inside of the tire, get one bead on the rim, install the tube, run one of these stem puller guides through the stem hole and attach it to the stem so the stem can lay out of the way, install the second bead on the rim, and pull the stem up into place. You can put the stem nut on the puller before you put the end through the rim hole then the nut is there to thread onto the stem to hold it in the rim hole while you hold it with the puller.
I got so frustrated one day I that I made one of those!
 
Fawteen, I think you will be fine. I can tell you over the years I have done lots of repairs to tractors and off road equipment rims and tires. Some of it was a little crude! (rust repair)
 
You can get plugs for the valve stem hole as well. I have seen both rubber and brass. Some of the larger rim sizes have holes on both sides. You use the one you want and plug the other one. Pic is just the first one that came up.

I’ve seen rubber plugs to cover extra valve stem holes, but the one in the pic is for a tubeless tire. That brass protruding from the underside I would think would be hard on the tube.
 
I have to correct myself. I had several tractors out this morning to put away the ones that I had at the show. All of them are at the bend, it's just that on the wider rims, the bead is wider so they're farther back from the outside while still being in the bend.
 
I thought the main reason for the flat spot was tubeless tires
So the stem could seal
The nearer to flat and matching the angle the stem is molded into the inner tube the less stress, lowering the risk of tearing the stem from the tube.

The design of the bead area is the main difference in tube or tubeless rims. While some have had luck mounting tires tubeless on tube type rims there is a bigger risk of bead leakage and failure from rolling the bead.
