I found a parts tractor with this seat on it. The guy who has it says a guy told him it was a JD seat. That is possible, but I have never seen one like it on a two cylinder. Anybody have an idea where this seat is from?

Our neighbor had one on their styled model D in the 50,s. Always wondered if it was Deere or an add on of sorts. But some years back I seen a picture of an industrial BR with the same seat. Still wonder how they became available.
 
Hard to tell from the pic, but I am pretty sure you have a after market seat made by the Knoedler (Need-lear) seat company. Pretty common after market seat and very nice with new bearings and bushings. Most of my Cockshutts have them. Bearings are available from Steiners.
