Tractor Show Pick

There’s usually one tractor at a show I’m drawn to more than the others. Here’s the pick from the show in Upperco, Md that runs through Sunday. Good consignment sale at the beginning, practically giving stuff away.

Back when men were men - and probably smelled like a goat at the end of the day. Puts a new meaning in the words power steering.

Unique steering and wheel drive systems.

I'm not real familiar with tractors of that vintage. Was that a common drive system?

Wouldn't it be fun to give that a drive on soft soil. May be better than a horse but those wheels would make it a lot noisier, not to mention the motor.

That's more of an orphan and oddball than my Sears Roebuck. I'll have to look up the history on that one. Thank you for posting the pictures.

You’re welcome, let us know if you find anything. I wanted to ask if anyone thought it was a production tractor. If home-made they did a good job. Belt pulley is 90° to the tractor, don’t know if you can tell that from the pics.

(Not sure that’s actually a pulley, don’t see how you’d put a belt on it)

I'm always interested in lesser know tractors and equipment. It's very interesting to see the thought and engineering that went into them. All without a computer.

Pretty sure that's a Mopar, they were common in Masseys of that vintage.

Distributors on Continentals came up through the head.

Well maybe I am wrong, but I just recently sold a co op B2 and I know for certain that had a Chrysler industrial in it and the one that is in my 44-6 is a totally different engine , and looks the same as the one in the picture

If your is a continental, then I don’t think I can help . I put a brand new old stock manifold on our Chrysler ind manifolds 6 cylinder on our Massey 26 combine .
The Massey 26 s maybe Massey 82 ? Up to you how you want to drill down .
