Tractor Split completed

Finally found time to split my 41 9N front mount to replace the cracked rear end housing.
I used the engine hoist and a 3" rachet strap to remove the loaded rear tires. and to pull the axel trumpets.
the hardest part was pulling the pinon gear from the damaged rear housing. I had to modify the puller some with extenion bolts and clamped behind the two fine thread hex nuts on the spline shaft but with patiance it finnally came out. Thanks Hobo for the free advice.
I got some seat time in before I head back to Las Cruces new mexico for another 2 months.

Good post Bart.
There's not much on these little tractors a guy can't fix by himself if he will use some ingenuity, cast aside his trepidation and dig in to them. From here on out when the next guy has to do something like this you can give him some advice and encouragement.
