tractor tire circumference

Does anyone know the circumference of an 11.2 x 24 rear tractor tire? I have a coworker friend that bought a new compact tractor and is looking for a set of rear tire chains for this size tire. I have a set of tire chains in my shed, but I don't have a clue what tire size they fit or what they came off of. Thank you.

Just put a mark on the floor and the tire then roll it forward till the mark comes down again that will tell you just what that tire on that rim will measure as we dont know what rims ect he has.

Every different Make (and Model) of tire has a different standing height and different circumference..

The idea of marking the floor and measuring the traveled distance for one full rotation is probably your best bet..

Yup marking the floor or take a good piece of rope that will not stretch around the tire. That is how you measure for your hat size in the old days. If you want to be Mr. science You take R x Pie and get the same thing. You want them juuuuussst snug but not too tight. Loose is not good. Most chains can be adjusted with links in and out deal. Have fun

Trouble is, the tire chains ride quite a bit "lower" on the sidewalls than the circumference measurement of the tire, and the "side chains" are going to be quite a bit shorter than the tire's circumference.
