tractor values

Ok guys - I know how this type of question goes but I'm trying it anyway. My neighbor passed away unexpectedly last fall. He had about a 100 acre farm which he rented out most of it, including some fields to me. Most of his machinery left was for doing hay for the horses his daughter has there. They want to sell the tractors so they aren't just sitting around and asked if I can give some some idea of the value. He kept his tractors in good shape so I know there are no surprises when someone buys them. We are just west of Rochester, NY for location. He has a Massey 65 diesel with a loader which runs off an external pump, a JD5310, diesel with a loader and a cab and a JD 970, diesel with a loader only. I'm thinking the Massey might be around $4-5k but all my tractors are pre-1960 Farmalls so what do I know about those odd color red tractors. LOL

You are in the ballpark for the Massey, it might be easier to find similar ads for the JDs to get their value.

Depending on condition the MF65 could be $2500-$4500 (less if not running). For the John Deeres I would suggest calling your Deere dealer (Landpro?)or looking on Tractor house website, remembering that the prices there are dealer prices so a little higher than you could expect. If The deeres are 2wd it may hurt their value quite a bit, there doesnt seem to be as much demand for newer 2wd utility tractors.
