I'm looking for trailer tires 8-4-5. Some that will last awhile ? Thanks
They are regular trailer tires going on a dump trailer, ThanksAre these 8" diameter tires? What type of trailer are these on?
Where can you get those to fit an 8" rim?We went to Firestone TransForce years ago. Load range E. Haven't had trouble with them blowing out. We get used ones from a tire dealer here in town so have been running them for years.
What in the Wide World of Sports is an 8-4-5 tire?I'm looking for trailer tires 8-4-5. Some that will last awhile ? Thanks
Could you post an image of the tire sidewall .They are regular trailer tires going on a dump trailer, Thanks
My lawn tractor's "regular dump trailer" has regular 8" tires. They are regular trailer tires going on a dump trailer, Thanks
Sorry, should be 8-14.5 14 ply.I'm looking for trailer tires 8-4-5. Some that will last awhile ? Thanks
Common tire used to transport house trailers.Sorry, should be 8-14.5 14 ply.
Here you can not use house trailer tires or axles on any on road use utility trailer. Been outlawed for years. There are dozens of sources for 8-14.5 low boy trailer tires that aren't "mobile home use only" tires. Do a web search and several will come up. Just don't get the trailer house version because they seem to fail at a higher rate than the regular trailer tires. I have Kumho tires on my trailer. They’re about worn out but have been good. I don't see that they're available anymore though.
Where is "here"???Here you can not use house trailer tires or axles on any on road use utility trailer. Been outlawed for years.
West Virginia. Been illegal to use house trailer axles and tires on utility trailers made to be used on roadways since the early 1980's.Where is "here"???
A lot of people think that if it is a 14.5 tire it is a trailer house tire. Trailer house tires are stamped MHS or mobile home service only. I don't know if the general public can buy MHS tires or not. The ones I've bought for our trailer have been designated low boy or ST tires. I have a bunch of MHS rated tires too but they came with the rims or axles I have bought.I don't think you can even buy tires marked,MH,and mobile home use only. Those can get you put out of service. The axles are not special mobile home axles, some are just the cheaper UTG axles.I have no idea how a law enforcement office could determine if the axle was ever on a mobile home. The ribs on the hubs would be smaller than the 4500 or 5200 pound axles, but that still just makes it a 3500 pound axle.
