I have a international 656 gas S N 10431 S X , I know that it is a 1968 by the S N what does the S X stand for ? I need gears for the transmission their are 2 different gears for 1 ST and reverse can you tell by the serial number ? Thanks Vic

The "X" indicates high speed first and reverse. The best thing is to count the teeth on the old gears. Tooth counts are listed in the parts catalog. You never know if someone has already been in there and changed them from what the serial plate code says.
