Rick----here is the latest thread addressing your question.

I run GL-1 in my tractors and during cold weather use, I just become more patient as the hydraulic fluid takes more time to "warm up".

In a "super clean" hydro system you will get 5 gallons to go in your system. For most, simply remove the bottom bolt from the inspection plate on the right side of your tractor and when fluid runs out, you have enough in the system.

It holds 1.5 gallons of engine oil in the engine. (I recommend straight weight SAE 30 or higher.)

It holds almost 5 gallons (4.5) of gear oil in the transmisson/rear-axle. (Fill it thru the cap beside your gear shift. Drain it thru all 3 plugs beneath the tractor transmission/rear-axle. Don't overfill it. Use 80/90 gear oil, any grade.)
