I could not find a serial plate or manufacturer tag. Even the contractor identification is so faded I could not complete an ID.

My first thought on a power plant was Red Seal or LeRoi, but only speculation.

It sets in Bird Island Mn.

There is something odd about the engine having been removed without taking any of the rest of the power unit. And now there's a perfectly good, painted radiator sitting there?

I ran a very old poclain hyd excavator back in the early 70s the controls weren't pilot but leavers big honkin leavers with a long pull to them they would really give you a workout. Digging next to a high tension power line tower got a bucket full of dirt came up swung to the truck ,the swing didn't stop crammed bucket into the ground to stop the swing shut it down, called boss told him, he told me that I was nuts , so he comes to job gets on machine cranks it up full throttle lifts the bucket WHAM hits the power tower shuts the machine down tells me to fix it then goes back to office, broken spool in valve

Like the earlier post of plowing snow, the second seat is for the dog in training.

That thing has seen some use. The grips on the metal pedal are worn smooth, takes a lot of friction by the shoe sole to do that.
