I ran a very old poclain hyd excavator back in the early 70s the controls weren't pilot but leavers big honkin leavers with a long pull to them they would really give you a workout. Digging next to a high tension power line tower got a bucket full of dirt came up swung to the truck ,the swing didn't stop crammed bucket into the ground to stop the swing shut it down, called boss told him, he told me that I was nuts , so he comes to job gets on machine cranks it up full throttle lifts the bucket WHAM hits the power tower shuts the machine down tells me to fix it then goes back to office, broken spool in valve

That operator’s seat was worth the price of admission. The new “ultra-comfort” seat back, available as a limited edition option.
And I see another seat folded down in some of the pictures, wonder what that was for?
