trk trailer cable connection problem

If you cannot get a good connection or none at all in cable after checking EVERYTHING try this .,take small peices of ALLUMINM foil and push in all holes on female cable.,because of different ends the pins didn't touch.,this has worked for us thru the years and in emergency problems.,

If it has the round pins like on semi plugs I just spread the pins a bit with a knife or screw driver.

I have used a product called DeOxit to clean truck and trailer connector terminals and same as above with split pins spread them apart a wee bit. As we all know a common cause of trailer wiring problems IS A BAD GROUND

For what it's worth, I spray mine with white lithium grease. Just my 2 cents.

If it has the round pins like on semi plugs I just spread the pins a bit with a knife or screw driver.

I use a small sized nail set punch to wiggle down into the pin so as to spread the pin a bit.

I use a Q-tip with Wd-40 the clean the female end.

If real bad I use a small brush with contact cleaner and then LU711 for protection against corrosion.

Best thing I did was make a holder for the trailer cable connector to keep it clean, dry and off of the ground. Used a piece of PVC pipe zip tied to the trailer jack, also cove the jack with a 5 gallon bucket to keep water out.
