CORRECTION to a March 2011 post: When reassembling the wheel shaft on my 1970s Horse tiller, I discovered the gears are keyed for removal only in one direction, not both (I think it was Left-to-Right, viewed from operator position). The key will help drive the bushing out on the "exit" side, then the shaft itself can be used to drive the bushing loose from the "non-exit" side (which I think was the Left side).
