I tuned up a friends 901 Ford with a Marvel-Schebler TSX662 carb. Couldn"t find a drawing but I assume that the idle fuel adjustment needle is the one on the top of the carb. Right? Tractor idles good with it opened about 3/4 turn. Does turning this needle in (clockwise) richen the fuel mixture?
The power needle would then be the one on the bottom of the carb which I set at 1 1/4 turns.
I assume that turning this needle in leans the mixture so I thought it best to set it on the rich side of the initial setting of 1 to 1 1/4.
Don"t think this machine ever operates at the governor under load so tweeking it probably won"t happen.
