Turning Off Key

Looking for some advice. I have a Case 930CK (401 diesel)and once in a while when I shut down the throttle I forget to shut off the key and the batteries go dead. As you know, non-deep cycle batteries dont like going dead, so I"m trying to figure out a way to put a buzzer on the tractor that would come on when the key is in the run position but only when the tractor is not running. In other words I dont want it going off the whole time the tractor is running. The ignition switch is just a typical 4 position switch (accessory, off, run, start)I hope this makes sense. Any ideas would be great! Thanks

Power buzzer from "load" side of ignition switch.

Connect ground lead of buzzer to one-terminal oil pressure switch of the type that is closed when pressure drops below 10PSI or so.

If it has a 2-wire "idiot light" already and you can access the wiring, simply connect the buzzer across the "idiot light", being careful to observe which side is "hot" and which side connect to the oil pressure sender.

Awesome! Mine has an idiot light but the wires were cut and I cant find anything that even resembles an oil pressure switch coming out of the crankcase anywhere! I know there has to be one there somewhere otherwise the light couldn"t have worked from new on. On Case"s part"s diagram they show a pressure switch coming off the top of the injector pump which was obviously for the fuel pressure idiot light, but mine doesn"t even have that. I cant believe they would have had the lights on the dash but not have them hooked to anything?????????????

It sounds like the PO was a "BLEM" and "fixed" it!

if you cant tap off the engine oil pressure, how about a normally closed momentary contact switch, and rig it to the seat like on a riding mower. then hook a buzzer from the fuse box off any auto or light truck. wire the 12v from the key switch to the contact switch, then to the buzzer. if your sitting on the seat, the switch is open , but if you are not on the seat, the buzzer buzzes.
