Over the yrs. I have read a lot on here about flipping these old tractors over by pulling from a point to high on the tractor and I know folks have been killed doing so. I am very careful to pull only from the swinging draw bar bracket under the rear-end. That said I had a close call several yrs. ago when driving my 8n thru the woods, I miss judged the distance between 2 trees and tried to drive between them the front went thru fine but the rear wheels pinched between the 2 trees and the front came up in an instant. Luckily I was quick on the clutch and just learned a lesson. I just thought I would pass that along.

A few weeks ago, a man I used to work with was carrying a roll of hay into the woods on the front of his tractor as his wife watched. He must have miss jugged the location of a low limb and when it slipped past the hay the limb struck and killed him.

Don't know exact details but I know as I get older the more close calls I experience. It's easy to look out for the obvious, it's the things we don't expect that can get you.

used to deliver rental equipment. One time a guy drove a dozer between two trees and knocked both tracks off to the inside, that was fun
