Tw5 Dual Power

Ok I pressure checked the Dual power at the Pto pressure line just above the main Hydr. filter on the RH side of tractor like the manual told me to do.Any way Pressure at opp. temp D p in Direct drive Pto on barely registered 10 PSI,Dp Direct drive PTO on Diff lock pressed Pressure was 15 Psi.Both those readings engine RPM was 1000 like the book told me to do.Dual power in under drive Pressure reading was 10 PSI @1000 Rpm. Then I tested Dp in Direct drive 2200 Rpm PSI registered 90 PSI.Symptomsto won't shut off completely unless you are hooking up the impliments pto shaft,Dual power slips in Low side.Book tells me that is caused by a clogged screen in the Dp contol valve inlet line.As I opened up the transmission access cover the bolt bracked that holds the 2 bolts on the cover fell into the tranny.Anybody know of any ways besides a magnet to get that out of the trans.?

I need help as to what I should do next as I have never worked on a Dual Power before. Thanks guys

You've got serious pump and/or regulating valve issues if you ask me. The regulating valve is on the RH side of the trans. You can remove the valve and flow test the pump directly to see where the problem lies.

Like Bern says you have got to have pressure problems outside of the DP to be that low. IF you do need to get into the DP they really aren't all that bad. I rebuilt mine without using any special tools. You can save a lot on plates if you need them through Madison tractor.

Ok so I take off the reg. valve then how do I flow test the pump?

Make yourself a flat plate with a tapped hole in it and bolt it on the trans housing where the valve was. Make sure when you test that you remember that there is no relief valve in the system. If you don't know what you're doing, then don't do it!
