Didn't realize it had quit. There is a thread below about the magazine stopping publication. I dropped my subscription to that a couple years ago. Didn't know the entire organization had folded.

Area two cylinder clubs are still going here in NY. I suspect that as time has gone forward that there are fewer people to be the structural support in such organizations.

There are 2 clubs in my area. Lake Agassiz 2 cylinder club based out of Fargo/Moorhead and The Greater Minnesota 2 cylinder Club based out of Little Falls,Mn. If interested just google them. Tom in Mn.

Received a letter Monday stating that publishing of the magazine was done. The office,ph.# and email closed but the website would still be in existence and ser# research will continue for now. Credit was given for the months left on your subscription towards merchandise or ser.# research

In the latest issue of "Green Magazine", in the article on toy tractors, it states that Ertl is supposedly releasing a 1/16 scale toy for the Two Cylinder Club in May. That was based on something the author saw at the National Farm Toy Show last November. Of course, a lot could have changed since then.

You are correct on the toy but the read they were not selling them just had their name on the special series

A lot can change over the course of a couple of years. The order of a club toy tractor could have come well before things went the way they did with the club. If a club or show wants a toy to mark an event given production schedules and shipping they probably have to have the order in close to two years ahead of the event. I would suspect that the intention was to keep the Two Cylinder Club going as it was but given things such as aging of the members with no replacements coming in that the club just lost too much "power" to function.

Regarding the toy tractor being discussed, it was shown on a full-page ad in the last (and final) Two-Cylinder Magazine, Jan-Feb 2026, and it was an advertisement by ERTL/TOMY, not a Two-Cylinder ad. The tractor is a 1/16 scale 4020 LP Hi-Crop with a ROPS and canopy. It was advertised as a “Two-Cylinder Club” tractor and that it was “Produced in conjunction with the Two-Cylinder Club”, which might be interpreted to mean Two-Cylinder may have sold a license to TOMY in order for TOMY to use the TC name and trademark with the toy. The “Order Info” box in the ad stated the price is $174.99 plus tax and shipping, and to order one, you were to email ERTL’s outlet store or call them. The toy would be available for shipping in May 2026. Furthermore, in her (farewell?) letter sent to subscribers, Brenda reiterated that this “…toy is being sold by TOMY (ERTL) and…Two-Cylinder is not a part of the ordering/shipping process.”

The last TCC tractor that I bought, I paid $100 for it. That was such a huge increase from the year before that it disgusted me so bad, it ruined toy collecting for me. I felt like I was setting my money on fire and throwing it in an ashtray. I bought it because I wanted to get them all as they came out, but I had the worst buyers remorse I've ever had.

No worse on most toys than Outback Toys and other online retailers. You can find deals for used toys on Ebay but you have to hunt for them. Very few deals at toy shows such as the ones that happen during the cold months around here. Everybody knows what the other parties are charging for a given toy so everybody has literally the same price. A consequence of everybody having access to the internet. I have not quit buying toys but the reality of the prices allows few to be bought. Some people quit buying when brands such as Ertl moved production out of the US.
