On the bottom of the bowl, next to the drain, there is a tiny hole that is capped with a freeze plug. Plug is about 3/8"D. Hole is about .040". What is it for and iffen it leaks, like mine does, can a guy plug it solid?

Squeekie......thats yer carb throat drain for flooded carbs. It is supposed to be plugged with FELT to keep from suckin' dirt into the carb/engine. The felt is usually held in place by a C-ring, or could be a "hat" washer. (could look like a mini-freeze plug)

Bottomline, no pluggee. Find out why yer carb is flooding. ALWAYS turn OFF, yer under-the-tank fuel valve at end of day. .......Dell

Thanks! I knew it had to do with somthing! Just wasn't sure! Yeah, got a hat washer in the rebuild kit. Didn't know what it was called; that's why I called it a freeze plug!
