i got a u302 a guy wants me to fix im not familar with yellow tractors so i just want to know what im getting into. anouther shop put an engine cluth in it recently and it seems fine. u can put the tractor in gear and it will move a few feet then it will stop with no gringing and no noise. it does not matter if its in high range or low,and it will not shift high or low, the lever snaps in high but doesnt even try to speed up it does take 30lbs push to engage the lever like it should. i took the plug out of the houseing and the cluth is engaging and the ears are still on the clutch plates. when it does move i can step on the brakes and stall it so i think the engine clutch is ok. i dont understand how high and low is out, any info will help here maybe im looking in the wrong place thanks john

Sounds like a torque problem. I have never worked on them, but I have a U302 that the low end is out. You will have to split the tractor again and remove the torque unit, as I am told it is a seperate unit that can be removed and sent in to be repaired. Unless your new clutch is hanging up someway and not engaging?
