UB idles

my ub gas ,well not speed up,from a idle?? move the trodle lever , but no more rpm"s ,,,,i tkink is the govenor??

Does the engine speed up from idle when you put a load on it.

Does all of the throttle linkage move correctly? A cotter key could have fallen out.

I am having that same problem as of yesterday. Mine will get past idle, but not full blast. I'm guessing about 2/3 of full throttle. I played with the distributer and the needles on the carb. Then I quit working on it for the day. For now, I blame the govener...
