UB Special

I am looking to buy a UB Special. Gas or diesel and prefer a narrow front end. The closer to northern
Illinois the better. Let me know what you have.

Most U/UB diesels are wide front.

Wide front is okay as long as it is row crop and not standard and has power steering.

No such thing as UB standard. My ub diesel Special has adjustable front and no power steering.

Uh okay. I don’t want a wide front without power steering.

Have owned and seen 30 or more Specials. None had power steering.

I have seen several advertised over the years with power steering.

Only seen 1 here in Canada. No reason for PS. Most steered better than M5/602 with PS.

I’m not here to argue with you I’m just telling you what I have seen. Heck I’ve seen a lot of U’s and UB’s with power steering, Not factory, but power steering nonetheless. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure power steering was a factory option on the Specials.

Special was designed to accommodate PS. Was why bolster/rad change.

I have 2. one lpg and one gas. Both have factory power steering and narrow fronts. Both in good shape. Both have had 4 row cultivator on them. herald

We have one also, narrow front, LPG, with factory power steering.

I far as i know all UB Specials here in the corn belt had PS that was one of the big differences between a UB and a UB Special it was the first MM out with PS. I never saw one without PS. On the UTS Specials PS was an option and I have only see two with it. I would like to find one someday.
