While I know we have current and former Dairymen/women who probably have an answer for you, your local large animal vet is probably where you should be headed immediately. Get it stopped at that one cow and not risk all three needing treatment. Good for her to embark on such a chore. Good luck with the cure, gobble

bag balm or udder butter. that is not serious and does not need a $600 vet bill. I would keep an eye on it and if it begins to get infected then I would give a shot of penicillin or liquimisine. To me that pic looks like no more than a chaffing from the udder rubbing against itself. very common thing.

Scrub with iodine udder wash, dry with paper towel, spray lightly with blu kote or wound kote. Dust it generously with baby powder or cornstarch

I don't remember ever having an issue like that with our cows back when we had them. Then we tried to keep them on dry bedding and scraped the alleys everyday winter or summer. In summer they had some pasture to lay on during the summer with grass. Let them get out in the grass to feed on and we added green chopped feed and or silage and haylage for them with all the dry hay they wanted. It was fed free choice to them. I'm with the washit up and get it good and dry then slather on some bag balm or some talc to keep it dry with inspection each milking and bagbalm applied each milking or talc.

Scrub her with Betadine and dry her with a soft towel. Load her up with medicated wound dressing powder after evening milking and repeat as necessary, but don't over do it. If it gets worse then call the Vet. It looks like a common staph infection.
