Umbrella Options?

My 1981 3600 has the ROPS with a round cross bar on the top. I believe this eliminates most of the umbrellas which attach to the ROPS unless I customize some hardware. I'm not crazy about drilling into the fenders for mounting hardware. To further complicate the situation, I park the machine in a standard garage so I need some system I can knock down without too much trouble.

Can anyone suggest an umbrella set up that will work for my needs?

If it's the factory ROPS with the triangular plates on the ends of the round tube at the top of the ROPS, those triangular plates should have 3 holes pre-drilled in each of them. That is where the factory canopy mounts.

I know nothing about ford umbrellas. There is an outfit Heritage that used to sell them and the poles/mounts. Also, there is aftermarket ones. Yes, you may need to fabricate a mount. I had to on Deeres and Molines.

The three Ford roll bars I have all had the top round tube that protruded through the side uprights. I cut the protruding portion with a cut-off wheel and then used the BareCo mounting hardware that came with the canopy. BareCo uses some large U-bolts to hold the plates and bars.

My reply on ROPS installations, is on the most functional bonnets (opinion) is that the ROPS ruining the best bonnet out there, especially for Fords....the ones that mount on the fenders, collapsable, and multi position...like you can pull the front down to block morning and evening sun, or flip it back and stand up when your legs get tired of sitting....plus easy to flip down for low barn doors.
