Unbranded replacement tool batteries

I know some of you have used the 'generic' batteries available on eBay and other places. I would like some high capacity batteries for my dewalt 20vmax stuff.

What has been your experience with them?

I'm particularly interested in 6ah and above or the replacement for dewalt 60v flex batteries. Most of these are listed as 'for dewalt'.

I don't have any 60v tools, but would like to add a trimmer and maybe a blower or chainsaw. The 60v battery is supposed to work in either 20 or 60v tools.

18 volt batteries for our Black and Decker string trimmer and cordless drill are obsolete, so I'm using generic replacement batteries from Amazon. Seem to be as good as the originals.

I have a Dewalt 20v 5 ah, and an aftermarket 6 ah. They last about the same. For the price, I'm satisfied.

I ended up with a knock-off M18 for my Milwaukee tools. It does fine for light duty drill-driver stuff, but it doesn't work with heavy sawzall or circular saw cutting.

Dewalts 20 Volt batteries can be used in 18v tools.

Never bough Dewalt generics, but tried several times buying Ryobi knockoffs, 100% failure.

Either DOA or failed within a couple days. Never again, better off waiting for sale specials.

I don't know anything about 60v flex battery.
I go to Amazon and buy 20v 6 amp aftermarket dewalt batteries.
A 2 pack is about the same price as one 5 amp dewalt battery. I can't tell you how many aftermarket batteries I have. I keep some in each pole barn and carry about 6 batteries in truck. I've yet to have a bad aftermarket battery.

Everything I have uses 20v dewalt batteries. Milwaukee, Black and Decker. 18v Dewalt tools. I buy adapters. Amazon is my first choice, but many adapters from ebay come from on a slow boat form China, 4-6 weeks,

If you can't find an adapter, I've made 2 for Indiana Wilson. AKA Wild Bill.

I carry an 8 inch B&D chainsaw, alligator.
It takes an adapter to use a 20v dewalt battery.
I don't leave home without the Alligator in truck tool box..
Works better than a sawsall on branches up to about 3 inches.

I have a mess of Ebay batteries for my Makita 7.2, 9.6 and 12 v tools, plus a couple for my 18v Porter Cable stuff. I try to buy only from US sellers with a very high feedback rating and some sort of warranty. I also found my PC stuff's batteries weren't dying because they were bad, but because my charger was junk, even though it indicated good. An Ebay charger fixed that. I've also found out reading the owners manuals is a good idea as I discovered trying to charge batteries at below 40F, much less at -30F, is almost certain to b e bad for the batteries.

I've had good luck with these batteries after changing the things noted above.
