Unknown Farmall Tractor

hi i was wondering if anyone could help me. My grandpa is trying to sell one of his tractors but he does not know what it exactly is. he thinks it is a 1934 Farmall Regular Rowcrop with a open steering gear ?? i know nothing about old tractors so i was wondering where i would find a serial number or some sort of identification or the tractor and if anyone knows where my best bet is to sell it. thanks

Try going to the Serial Numbers link on the left side of the page in reserch & info , that might help some.

You can sell it on the photo ads here. Should sell if you don't overprice it. E-bay has a lot of tractors on it. In addition to the to the serial numbers the tractor photos at left are useful.

Kirby, It sounds like a farmall Regular. The serial number will be on a tag on the tool box under the fuel tank and if that is missing the number will be stamped in the top of the left frame rail right next to the radiator. I buy them all the time.

Hey Kyle, It is either not a Regular or not a '34 model. Just in case, if he is correct on the year, it could be a '34 F20 with a Regular rear axle and transmission and the open steering gear. If so, the serial number will be stamped on the left frame rail about even with the middle of the gas tank, and the number will start with TA. In '34 when tractors were not screaming off the shelves IH used up a bunch of old Regular parts stock on a run of only 661 F20's all with a TA serial number. They are an F20, but look just like a Regular. I would pay a little more for a TA than an F20 or a Regular. As far as pricing, a little more info like wheels, stuck engine, cracks, accessories etc. would be handy.
