Unknown plate under 641 tractor.

So my 641 developed a hydraulic leak on a plate under the tractor. The plate sits almost directly under the pitch control lever. My question is, if I take this plate off to put on a new gasket, will any fall out of the tractor that is should be aware of? Looked in the manual, didn't see any thing about it. It has what looks like a rivet in it, thats concerning. I just don't like suprises.

Has 5 bolts holding on? Has hand full plus couple orings that seal it. This site has them, 161249 is number 3.30 plus shipping. Do not use hardware store orings, If good hyd shop will have them too.

Are you talking about a square plate, about 4" by 4", on the underside of the tractor? The rivet you refer to is it in the center of this plate?

You could have a leaking hydraulic line in there. The tractors are getting older and seen that happen to them a couple of times. The lines start rusting out now but are replaceable.

The leak is definitely on the plate. The plate is about 8x6, the rivet head is offset, forward and to the left. I'll try and send a picture tonight.

Is it #15 in the parts drawing at the link below? If so, #14 is the gasket and #10 and #11 are o-rings that should be replaced whenever that cover is removed. #13, the pressure relief valve, sits on top of that plate with the two o-rings on its lower and upper ends. The gasket and o-rings should be available through any New Holland dealer.

Do yourself a big favor and order the proper gasket from CNH.

DO NOT use silicon.
