Unusual Knives

Cleaning out my parents house and found these. Mom says they were used for castrating hogs. Dad is gone so I can't ask him. What do you guys think?

i wont argue with mom. she is is not wrong. when i was young the neighbor used to come over with his pocket knife and do that job. flip the hog over and sit on its belly and do the job . dad held the front feet. and those look well used, and the one has a nice correct curve on it also .

Mom knows best. My job as a youngster was to hold the pigs feet while dad cut them. The squeal was ear piercing.

If three or four big guys wearing overalls grabbed you and held you down you would probably do some squealing too. Especially if one of them had a knife.
