Up and running

Just want to thank everyone for all the help you gave me in the last 6 months working on my TO30. Alot of these old machines would not be able to continue without the forum. My tractor was a barn find that sat appx. 30+ years. The forum and I went thru the complete wiring (12 volt change-over)system, fuel and fluids with seals. She's up and running and back to work. Thank you all, Gary.

Glad to see you puttin" "er to work!

I don"t see an ORC on that mower pto shaft. You really should have one for safety sake. Since you have a transmission driven pto, the rotating inertia of the cutter will drive your tractor forward even when you step on the clutch and you could run through a fence or into a ditch or worse if you try to stop suddenly. That won"t happen with an ORC.

Glad to see you got her up and running. Nice looking property.
Is that the correct position for the top link connection to the mower?
I thought it should be down at approximately a 45 degree angle?

I tell you what, thats some nice looking sheetmetal, rims, and paint.
If that is all original, I wouldn't paint that ol' girl for nothing.
Remember, anyone can make crappy tractor look good with paint--but you can't reproduce the "well taken care of" original look.
Great find.
