Success!!!

Thanks to yesterday's (and seemingly today's) tip of the day about valve adjustment, I had a lightbulb moment.

When I put my valve train back together, I adjusted my valve lash like a car engine - to zero lash. Big mistake.

Popped my valve cover off, adjusted the lash, after a few pulls on the starter, it started up for the first time in 8 months. Set the timing and we're good to go.

Hydraulics even worked strong.

Thanks to all.

Ya cars and trucks have hyd lifters but a tractor has solid lifters so you have to have gaps at all the rocker arms or you get a no run problem due to the fact the valves do not close all the way and if it does run you stand a good chance of burning the valves fast
