The carburettor kit arrived and I fitted it today . Typically for an Australian I had looked at the carb and thought '' She'll be right mate '' . Didn't notice the nest of corrosion next to the fuel inlet . Cleaned this , went through the rest of the carb like a dose of salts and fitted the new kit .
Same problem . Starting to think that the crank seals may very well be the problem , in which case the saw may well be junked , a pity really , when I can get it to run by dribbling fuel into the inlet it fairly roars , develops lots of power and has a really satisfying bark .
