Well, rather than putting in the sleeve and not being sure if the block is cracked or not i decided to make some plastic plugs for the bores. I filled the block with antifreeze and then pressurized the bore with 20 psi air for about an hour. No bubbles!
I will hook the vacuum pump on it tomorrow and see if it sucks antifreeze into the cylinder. If not I will be mostly convinced that it is not a crack. I will also use loctite sleeve retainer on the bottom of the bores and the top of the sleeves.Took a few pictures am going to try to include them here.
