Hi YT Forum Members,

I just want to update you on some exciting projects I am working on behind the scenes here at YT.

Our Facebook Page is active again, with daily posts about tractor content. Be sure to follow our page if you don't already: https://www.facebook.com/YesterdaysTractors/

I am starting a YouTube channel for Yesterday's tractors, and I will be filming lots of content around restorations, repair, tractors in action. In the same vane as my former business, iSaveTractors. It will be informational, inspirational, fun and enjoyable to watch. Be sure to be one of our first subscribers!

We are working on revamping the YT parts business website. Making it easier to find parts, easier to find information, faster, and will be more user friendly on your mobile devices.

I recently went to pick up a Ford 8N to restore for our YouTube channel. I went to visit Peabody's Repair in Augusta, Maine. This is a 2nd generation shop run by a gentleman named Alden. Great guy! He showed me around his shop, and showed me what he was working on. I love meeting people who also love these tractors as much as I do. I would love to meet some of you someday.

Here are some photos of my visit for you to enjoy.

A big thank you to all of the members here. Together we are keeping Yesterday's Tractors alive and running into tomorrow.

I do like the new headers.

But now with the headers is there a way to move the "Post thread" button below the header to where the rest of the buttons are? Seems the "Post thread" button is kinda lonely and could get missed easily.

I never use that button. I just put the title of my new thread in the blank space marked "Thread Title" above the other threads. The rest of it comes up automatically. I type my content in the space provided and click "Post Thread". Done.

I don’t start a lot of threads, never paid much attention to the “Thread Title” space. If I have a complaint about the new software this would be it, the fact that you can tell many features on it were created be someone that expects the user to be “intuitive” to them. It would be much better if above that box it said “Start a new thread enter the short subject title below”

And while you're at it, would you consider significantly reducing the size of the recently-added banners? They take up a significant amount of space, requiring more scrolling to get to content.

When I need parts, I already know where to click. It's uninviting to shove a huge reminder in my face with every page load.

Thanks for your feedback. This size banner is working well for us. It's for the non-member traffic this forum receives.

Thanks for your participation in our forum and your feedback.

No problem. Just add AD Blocker+ to your browser and you see no adds. If one happens to pop-up, just right click it then click block and it's gone too.
For instance, the only add I see now is the one in Normans signature.

I already run an ad blocker as well as pi-hole, which normally work great. Because these banners are part of the site itself (as opposed to external ads), they are not being blocked. The banner is bigger than the whole top menu!

Humm, I just blocked the banner add in Normans signature using malwarebytes browser guard and in your post, not that i want to, just to see if it does.

I used to use Malwarebytes, until they ended the free version, and it did work well for what you did.. AdGuard (free) also used to be able to do that, but they also went to a subscription model, which I refuse to do.

It's a free extension with FireFox. Browser Guard is a free extension.

I use Safari on a Mac, which syncs everything across all my Apple devices. Unfortunately, it's a bear to integrate Firefox into that, so I rarely use it.

EDIT - I poked around and found another free blocker that allows blocking of individual elements, which works on the YT banner, so I got my screen back (and still know where to go to buy parts when I need 'em).
