Using up old gas

I would not run it in any engine. My neighbor drained some old gas out of a car, he then ran it in his 8n tractor. He called me the next day said that the tractor would not start. All the intake valves were stuck open in the guides.

out here in the middle of nowhere, I have been know to draw a gasoline figure one my gravel yard. Then toss a match to it. It burns for a very short time. Dont worry I had help to do it safely in a controlled environment , No people, animals or plants were damaged while doing this stunt.

The training we had at the refinery says that small amounts should be absorbed with floor dry, or oil absorb, and disposed as dry waste.

There was someone like that in the previous county I lived in. Not arrogant but extremely hostile and always seemed like he was ready to blow a gasket. Once accused me of tossing out a prohibited item and only backed off when I asked him if he’d seen me come in with the item, which happened to be a mattress. He had not. It’s surprising he got so upset because there was so little oversight of what people brought in. On several occasions I snagged nice power tools that homeowners were ready to toss in with the general waste.
They don't take gas, oil or any other fluids, but our local dump center is like that. One guy in particular, I call him the dump Nazi. He watches like a hawk what you dump, but if it's in a trash bag they don't bat an eye. More than once I had dead goats, I'd put them in a trash bag and throw them in, nobody ever knew.

Thanks. I’ll find another use for it. I won’t risk mixing it in with my car or tractor gas. It’s lost its mojo, too far gone. Just need to empty the tank into a well-sealed gas can because boy does it stink. I have it sitting outside my shop right now.
That is smart. Trying to burn $10 to $15 of rusty old gas in an engine is not worth trashing a fuel filter or possibly more expensive repairs.

I have about 3-4 gallons of old gas in a piece of equipment I bought. It stinks, gives me a headache. I put some on a dipstick and it burns to some extent, not enthusiastically. Has anyone mixed small amounts of gas like this with their regular gas? Not saying I plan to do this, just want to see if that’s an option. Saving it for a burn pile is another possibility. I don’t think they collect it where I drop off my used motor oil.
Most auto repair shops will accept used automotive fluids for recycling.

ABSOLUTELY! I can't imagine living somewhere where the "do gooders" would swoop down on me before the gallon or two of liquid waste would burn itself out!
