Are the rear hubs on a "55 UTS splined? I have never had mine off but a guy told me that they were keyed like a UTU. I am wanting to run 9 bolt rims on it & was curious about what he said. Thanks!

Gary Welters has a post on another forum that he cuts down hubs for G/UTS splined and U keyed , for $150 a set with exchange. Will then fit 9 bolt rims.

That is the way that I interpret it.

I had my UTS hubs turned down and drilled for 9 bolt at a local machine shop. I spent more than Gary is charging. Gary Welters has done two more sets for me for my GB and G6 and I have been very satisfied. This is a great family to do business with.

What about a GTB with drum brakes what can be done there. Any thoughts or will I have to make my own centers out of 38" plate and weld them in the rims? Just curious if someone has a better way without moving brakes?
