UTS water pump

hello
Does anybody know if a kit is available for a water pump on a uts with the pump being part of the big front casting plate? i have found new pumps, but they dont have the big casting plate. The tractor is getting oil in the water and that is the only place i can think of that would let oil into the water. Has anybody else had this problem? Thanks

Ethan Chamberlain,
The water pump on the UT tractors is integral with the front of the engine. There are three major parts needed to rebuild a pump. The first part is the water pump seal kit #KE534A. This seal is located inside the impeller, and is evident after the impeller is removed. The second part is the #KE532 oil seal. The seal is located in the #KE5524A bearing assembly. The last part supplied is a #KE503C gasket.

If the #KE534A seal assembly fails; water generally runs from the weep hole in the pump. If the weep hole is plugged with grease and paint; the water can force by the #KE532 seal and seep into the oil. The lip of a #KE532 seal faces the oil and almost never fails in service. There is an oil seal that we carry, that has an auxiliary lip that faces the open air, to keep water from getting by. Most customers would not bother using it because the weep hole works well when it is left open.

Have you checked for seepage around the head gaskets? This is the most common reason for coolant being oil contaminated. Water in oil is possible with a bad pump seal. The other way around is difficult because the oil is not under pressure at the pump. Oil would generally weep from the pump weep hole if a seal failed.

Take care.
