Hello, Could someone please help me out? I would like to know what the firing order for a VA Case is. It is the Case engine not the Continental. Also is the little hole in the clutch housing behind the air cleaner the place tofind the timeing marks [TDC] Thank You,-------Harold

You are correct, the timing cover is located on the clutch bellhousing behind the air cleaner on the left-hand-side of the tractor. Unfortunately, the timing mark may be hard to find, since they are usually stamped lightly. Be patient and you will find it. Also, unfortunately, the distributor timing advance will prevent you from seeing the timing mark while the engine is running due to the small hole in the bellhousing. However, you can still easily set the timing without running the engine using your favorite helper, a hand crank, and a timing light. Make sure that you remove the spark plugs when you do this. Also, you can add timing advance marks to the flywheel with a paint pen to check the distributor timing advance curve. You just need to know the diameter of the flywheel to calculate the distance between your desired timing mark graduations.
