was looking through one of my books,, had not really read some of these captions well,, easy to do when putting a book together but to me there is a couple mistakes could be just me,, one thing many may not know about the VA Series, it was small Mighty easy to operate,, Tough,, it was offered right from the start as a Industrial unit,, which through years and changes would become the 430CK/530CK/580CK/580B units, the one pic here shows a handbuilt proto-type front backhoe on a VAI, easy to see Case was always looking for ways to make things better,, some worked others were ahead of their time,, just some rumblings in my head ,,, last one,, the front mounted backhoe,, some 30 years later Case was building Uni-Loaders with one

I see what you are saying, the first picture is labeled a vac-14 but it's a vai and the third is a vao. Not sure about the middle one

Does the vac-14 have the same length rear axle as the vao? the top picture looks like the rear tires are at a wide stance but the other pictures look like the wheels are pulled in and would of thought you would see the axle protruding out of the hub clamp. On the bottom picture the tin work is wrong to be a 14 and the gear shifter is different along with the front axle

the VAC-14 I Have seen have the longer VAC axle, and had the tube type adjustable front axle, the top pic is clearly a VAI not a VAC-14 like they state, Second pic looks like VAC-14,, but it looks Narrow, to me,, and yes one would think it would have the longer axles but appears to have VA / VAO/VAI rear axles AKA short axles to me, third pic,, I would think a VA or VAO design at first,, the you see the seating position and gearshift,, that says VAC-15 to me
