Vac-14 grill

So a while ago I scored a 14 for dirt cheap. The guy who sold it to me pulled a rotten move when I came and picked it up. The grill for it was across his yard sitting on a junked up Farmall, I let him know where it was and that I was going to go get it. Loaded it in my truck and about 15 minutes later he tells me I can't have it it's for a different tractor he has. Fine whatever, well I talked to a friend of mine to see if he had a grill that would fit the 14. Him and I dug through his stuff and came across what we both believed would fit it. I went to finally put it on today and it just isn't the right grill. I'm sure it fits a VA series, but not sure what one now. anyone here have tin for a vac14 for sale?

The 14 was only made in the new style, after mid 1951. The grills are different, as you have figured out.

There are at least 3 grill styles for the VAC. The early model VACs had a long drag link that needed a cutout from the grill.i have a 46 with this style. I know that they changed to a different steering that went into the bolster, but I thought it used the same grill as the 14. But if you look closely at the bolster, you can see the paint fade line and the 14 has a taller grill.
Also the hood pin sits closer to the front of the grill on the 14. But none of this changes the fact I need to find a 14 grill and side tin for over the battery.

I would havemade dam sure He understood you wanted the correct gril or told him the deal is off ,,, he dont have anfthing either now except a rat rod nose or a wall hanging for his game room

I'm still way ahead on the deal, just because all 4 tires are brand new, but all be dog gone if I make a deal with him again, and I darn well going to steer everyone I know away from him.

As you can see, the grill looks quite different from the grill that you have. The crank actually goes through a hole in the bottom of the grill
