vac carb

VAC has plenty gas getting to carb bowl ,.. but will only fire as long as gas is sprayed down air breather , ,, farm cleaned the carb,found some rustsediment, and got Same result , gonna have to get a carb kit ,,, but I wonder what else I am missing ?? ... thanx guys .

Take all the jets out (count the turns)and take carb apart and spray it all with good brake cleaner
Put the red straw on the can and spray into the jet holes and see if fluid comes out the holes and then blow it all out with a air compressor...Repeat it all over again until all the holes are open and clean...One speck of rust can cause problems..I found out the hard way..New carb=$250 ASK a 70 year old farm mechanic=FREE....
