VAC Case Magneto Pin Sheared

My VAC magneto pin sheared and dropped down onto the camshaft gear taking out some teeth. I removed the front engine cover and exposed the gear but I can not figure out how to remove the gear. I got the nut off but the gear won"t buldge. I tried jacking up the rear wheel and putting it into gear and find that it doesn"t turn the gears. I thought it would turn the gears and possible something was binding the gear. Once I get the gear off; I will be in need of a 24 tooth VTA-402 Mag drive gear and the VT-127 camshaft gear. My tractor serial # is before 5365687. Any and all assistance is appreciated.
This VAC has been in the family since original purchase...therefore I"d like to keep her going.

The cam gear is pressed on. It can be removed with a 3 jar puller. If your tractor has the flyball governor I would highly recommend replacing it with a flyweight type, used in later VAC's up into the 30 series. The magneto gear can be sourced from someone like Browning, or perhaps someone has a good used one.
