VAC Plowing Snow

Here are some shots of the VAC clearing snow off the driveway. I got a heat-houser from a Deere and added a custom bracket to mount the rear section to it. 2 bolts and it is removed. It doesn't push heat back but the shield does break the wind on my hands and face and makes it much more pleasant especially when traveling between farms in 4th gear. The VAC is nice to move snow but can slide around some in heavy snow.

Where are the curtains to bring back a little engine heat. It still looks like a cold ride to me.

ACG the side curtains do not fit correctly since they were meant for a JD 4-5000 series. I intend to look them over in warmer weather and see how feasible it will be to adapt them.

New heat housers are around $500 so this was a much more economical route for me.

Good looking outfit you?ve got there . It looks to me like that windshield would help a lot to keep warm then even if you just put a blue tarp over the engine and kinda routed it so the heat came back a little it would be pretty nice

inter in Iowa brings back some memories. Our chore tractor was a WD45 with a block heater and a real tight heat houser, a real life saver. Grundy Co. Iowa can be pretty cold, starting that Allis when it was -15 or so and having that fan blow heat in your face was a real treat.

You need to dress better if you're going to sit on an open tractor. I've never owned a tractor with a cab or heat houser. I just put on plenty of warm clothing when I have to clear snow.????
