vacuum fuel pump

I think there can be some differences between brands, but the basic function is usually the same. Quality might vary tho. Have you checked any specific ones?

15 years ago when I got into this business, all the round plastic pumps were identical, whether Kohler, Briggs and Stratton or Kawasaki. Most of the older ones said Mikuni on them. The Briggs pump was always cheapest. Now, howeverKawasaki has at least two and possibly three variations. The difference is at what point of the clock face (or compass, if you prefer) the ports come off the main body of the pump.

The reason asking is I have a Cub Cadet with a Kohler and a Hustler with a Kawasaki and a Yamaha golf cart and they all look the same to me. I will look at them and see if they all hook up the same. the Hustler is the newest of the three. Thanks
