Valentines Day

I gave my daughter a big hug this morning and told her that "Valentines day was one of my favorite holidays. Everything you see is Ford Red.".......She looked at me in the way that only a teenage daughter can look at her Dad when she thinks he's totally gone nuts.

Been a great V-day for me also. My birthday today but more than that is the deep appreciation for my wife. No cards exchanged or cake but a true understanding of why we connected some 13 years ago...just because it was real.
Till death do us part!

I put a post on the Ford board a couple of days ago about original Ford Keys for the Thousand Series tractors.
I read it to my wife as she's always interested in my posts here so she knows they're valuable to me.
This morning I gave her one.
She was touched that I would give her one and immediately put it on her key ring.
She told me tonight how she showed her Valentine's present at work and bragged about it.
Her coworkers were understandably jealous :)

I suggested it to her.
But just got that female shrug of the shoulders and peremptory "Nah".
I do have to give her credit for being a quick study.
She can tell an N from a Hundred - even at a distance - and swears the best Fords are Blue.
She's also a firm proponent of 12 Volts and EI.
I don't know where she learned that though.

That is a very slippery slope. You never want them to think they know more than you - even if they do

At 40 years I was hoping for an early release for good behavior but the parole board denied my petition ;-)

My wife, daughter, and I had a nice dinner together while watching the Shiner Hobo Band at Werners in Shiner, TX.
Some of you may have heard of them, they played before on the MollyB program on RFDTV.

Anyway, we just had funeral services the day before for my Mother-in-law....
I miss her and my FIL too who passed about 4Yrs back.
If it were not for them, I would not know as much about country life. Much gratitude to them for putting all of their children through college on a small rancher's income.
