Valve ID

Can anyone tell me how to ID the intake vs exhaust valve on a 1967, gas 3 cylinder, 158 ci motor.

I'm not sure what you mean.
You mean IDing them when you are adjusting the valve clearance? Look at the intake or exhaust port on the manifolds. One side or the other will line up with that valve. But not both.
Or Iding them to put the right valves into the head? Intake valves are bigger than exh.

The valve cover is leaking so while I had it off I wanted to adjust the valves exhaust and intake. I have cranked the engine around and non of them are .015 or .018 so I have to assume they need to be adjusted I just don't know when you look at them from the top from the front of the motor to the back how the order goes. If you could tell me what the order for the front is it would be greatly appreciated.

But if you learned to look at the valves in relation to the ports in the head/manifolds you could adjust the lash on any engine from a 3 cyl ford to a 4 cyl VW to a 6 cyl Hercules, Straight 8 Packard or V8 Chevy - to a V12 Jaguar.
I usually set them Hot as the book calls for then tweak them while it's running.
