VanBrunt Grain Drill

I have a VanBrunt FB-A grain drill and am looking for help in explaining how the fertilizer covers fit into the fertilizer boxes. These are the cast rectangular covers that block the fertilizer from just falling into the drop tubes. Mine don't seem to make a fairly tight seal.

If anyone has a picture or description as to how these pieces fit, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Those heavy cast fertilizer boxes don't rust out.
