Trying to figure out what I have here. I'm sure it's a VAO. I think it has the continental built motor. Pressed steel front rims. 28" rear rims. Hydraulic system driven from belt pulley and has rockshaft running under gas tank. Motor number is vac 124-64507.

The Continental F124 was only used in the VC . VAO's have 24 inch tires. You have a VAC with custom full coverage fenders .Google VAO and look at the tin on one of them...

These are original case fenders. Match perfectly the full set I have to put on the tractor once running. Has all the right holes for the outer skirts and front parts of the fenders to mount to. VACs used a continental built motor until 46 or 47 and then a case built motor was used. I really just need to know how to match the motor number to an estimated build year.

You are correct on the Continental built engine. The one piece manifold is one of the signs. Look again at the motor #. There should be a letter after the 124 (A,B,or C). The 28" rears are the most common. The 24" were available also but very seldom see them. During that style sheet metal the VAO was the only one with the low platform. Lee

VA series engine serial nrs in chronological sequence. No specific model year just one serial nr is chronologically newer or older than the other.

I got this from the tractor registry on this site.It has the closest eng serial number to yours. If your Radiator and carb are original they will have the year they were made on them. Nick

What you have is a VAO. The rear fenders are case factory orchard and very hard to find. The seat frame is VAO. There is no ser. numbers on the block on the VA tractors. Steve
