Hello, I happened to notice that you mentioned that you have extra VAS parts. I am looking for a set of fenders and throttle control rod assembly. The serial # plate is missoing on my VAS also.
Thanks
lookking forward to hearing back from you.

For those who have mentioned missing SN plates I wonder why that is. Theft?

Can you do something like this for a trailer? Talking about the sticker or plate with VIN, GVW, Axles, etc.

I've got one with a sticker on a trailer that needs sandblasting and painting. That will destroy the sticker. I'd like to replace it with a bolt on plate with the same info.

Did Case ever supply this rare tractor with a SN plate that was brass?
Over the years I have acquired more than 50 VA series tractors. None of them had a brass serial number plate. Early ones had aluminum with a few exceptions during the war time that were zinc. 1947 and 1948 all seem to be zinc. 1949 and up they switched back to aluminum. Now this is based on what has come here and I know there may have been other variations along the way. One thing you learn is there always seems to be exceptions. The only brass tags that I have seen were extra plates that were installed by the end user with such as war time and DOT units.
