vermeer belts

I have a 605j baler , belts will not tighten add air up to a 100# as a test but no luck with tight belts. bled air down to 75#. Belts are all cut at 43'6 but need to be 44'. could something be frozen?

Scroll down the page to a post titled VERMEER BALER. I don't know if that problem got solved or not,but it seemed to be the same issue.

Check the belt length. They sound like they are too long. The arms on the baler have limited travel. I have bought a set of belts and the lengths varied greatly. Most were too long.
