the stuck hood, and runaway t-bird from earlier this morning reminded me of a way to get into your house...(not mine) once you have shut the door and realised you aint got arie key. very quickley and i mean time is of the upmost importance here. get a key, any key, that will go into the lock, and a hammer or some type of striking tool....this part is very ...very tricky but nessary, carefully smash out the window nearest the door with the hammer or striking tool, reach in and un-lock door...and your in.!!
i had a ford f250 roll away one frosty morning, while defrosting the windshield, started it. took about 20 steps in the opposite direction. hearing tree lims cracking, i knew what had happened, and not wanting to watch it going into the pond, i walked in the house. called my neighbor and asked him if he would pull my truck out of the pond, and went out to meet him. the tracks in the frost led straight for the pond, then turned and just misted it, so i can knida relate to the car.

Yes but imagine that instead of a pond there was a nice log home belonging to your neighbor at the bottom of the hill....

Ok. Since this is OT I can share this thought. Gutterman I love that handle! It made me LOL. Than I was like maybe he really is a gutter guy. My mind was thinking its the perfect name for me since my mind is usually in the gutter.

(quoted from post at 18:55:52 02/29/12) OUCH! and hello insurance guys !!

Fortunately for both of us he had a wind break of white pines that caught the T-bird - it came to rest about 8' up in the middle of the grove. Insurance only had to pop for a few trees. I wish I had a picture of the look on the tow truck driver's face when he showed up to winch it out. He owns a local garage and we both share an addiction for the Turbo-coupes. He didn't even ask - just hooked on and pulled.....
